Step into wagamama this summer for

Date Posted:30/04/2014

Seafood, salads and unique flavours are on the menu at wagamama this summer as the pan-asian restaurant invites diners to explore nine new dishes and two fresh juices from 30 april... Perfect for warm summer days!

Fresh new main dishes include the coconut seafood broth which is part ramen, part curry, and a seafood lover’s dream with salmon, scallops, prawns and green lip mussels served on rice noodles in a light broth. Lobster is the star of the crisp and colourful lobster super salad which features green mango to provide a citrus burst. The grilled tuna with stir fried vegetables provides a twist on a traditional nicoise salad, with a seared tuna steak and one of wagamama’s trade-mark tea-stained eggs served on mixed vegetables with wasabi avocado dressing. Finally, the warm chilli chicken salad is sure to be a crowd pleaser with stir fried chicken and veg in a korean bbq sauce served on gem lettuce leaves

Wagamama also introduces three new sides including the mushroom onigiri, japanese rice balls that are crispy on the outside and sticky in the middle... A traditional packed lunch of the samurai warriors, this treat is still just as popular in japan today. The grilled pork bulgogi wraps with tender pork belly slices, pickled red onions, beansprouts and crunchy gem lettuce are designed to wrap at the table, streetfood style! And finally, making an anticipated return to the menu, are the succulent pork ribs marinated in sticky korean bbq sauce and scattered with sesame seeds... Tender and delicious!

The two new freshly-made juices are also sure to be popular this summer - the twisted apple juice with tarragon, star anise and fennel seeds give the nation’s favourite fruit a shake up! The sweet and refreshing raspberry rush blends apple and raspberry juices and epitomises the taste of the summer

Not forgetting dessert... Two exotic new options have been added to the menu! The sweet onigiri are warm and sticky coconut rice balls, deep-fried, sprinkled with caster sugar and served with tangy passion fruit sauce. The moreish mochi balls introduce a traditional japanese dessert of raspberry, toasted sesame or coconut ice-cream wrapped in pounded sticky rice and served with a chocolate-wasabi or passion fruit sauce. Be sure to order the mix it up mochi if you can’t decide which flavour to try!

The new wagamama summer menu launches on 30 April at all uk wagamama restaurants, to eat in or take-out
