Intu Metrocentre’s Pre-paid MasterCard

intu Metrocentre’s Pre-paid MasterCard® makes an ideal gift. Gift Cards can be used at hundreds of stores, specialist shops and intu Metrocentre's restaurants and leisure attractions. The intu Metrocentre Gift Card works in a similar way to other MasterCard® cards and can be used at participating retailers that display the Maestro Acceptance Mark.

You can deposit up to £1,000 on a single card and it can be used as many times until the balance has been exhausted.Gift Cards are available to purchase from Customer Service Desks at intu Metrocentre or online. When Cash purchases of £100 -£400 one form of ID, £400 and over one form of 'first class' ID or two forms of 'secondary' ID. Card purchases of £400 -£800 one form of ID, £800 and over one form of 'first class' ID or two forms of 'secondary' ID. Gift Cards purchased online and delivered by post or courier will require activation before they can be used in a store. Please follow the instructions provided in the shipping confirmation email received following purchase of the card. Gift Card FAQ's

1. WHERE CAN I USE MY GIFT CARD?

intu Metrocentre's Gift Cards can only be used for payment within the network of retailers who are participating within the Gift Card scheme at intu Metrocentre and intu Eldon Square.

2. CAN I USE MY GIFT CARD AT ANY OTHER SHOPPING CENTRES?

intu Metrocentre's Gift Cards can also be used for payment within the network of participating retailers within any of the following shopping centres owned or operated by intu including; intu Braehead, Renfrew; intu Chapelfield, Norwich; intu Lakeside, Thurrock; intu Uxbridge, Uxbridge; intu Bromley, Bromley; intu Watford, Watford; intu Potteries, Stoke-on-Trent; and intu Victoria Centre, Nottingham. 

In order to use your intu Metrocentre Gift Card at another intu shopping centre, you must first visit the Customer Services desk at one of the centres detailed in the list above so that the Customer Service team can transfer the funds on your intu Metrocentre Gift Card to an alternative Gift Card for your chosen intu shopping centre.

3. HOW DO I USE THE CARD?

Firstly, sign the card on the reverse. When you wish to spend on the card simply present it to a participating retailer in the same way as any other debit card. The retailer will process the transaction and ask you to sign the debit card receipt in the normal way. It is always a good idea to check your balance before spending on the card.

4. WHERE CAN I CHECK MY BALANCE?

You may check your balance at the shopping centre Customer Service desk, online here, by text message or by telephoning Flex-e-vouchers Ltd Customer Services on 0844 774 4277 (Please remember to quote the unique passcode that is shown on the receipt supplied with your Gift Card).

To use the text for balance service please send a message starting BAL, followed by a space and your full card number (i.e BAL 6759262112345678) to 60030. A charge of 25p+ standard network charges for text messages will apply, this charge applies to responses relating to invalid card numbers also. These charges will be levied by your mobile telephone service provider and not by Flex-e-vouchers Ltd Customer Services.

5. WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE LOST MY GIFT CARD?

If you lose your Gift Card please telephone Customer Services on 0844 774 4277. You will not be responsible for any transactions on the card after notifying Customer Services.

6. DO ANY CHARGES APPLY?

No charge is made for issuing the Gift Card or for its general use. Some fees and charges do apply to cover certain administrative costs such as gift card redemption or replacement, please see terms and conditions for full details. The Gift Card expiry date of your Gift Card is shown on the receipt supplied with your Gift Card.

7. DOES MY GIFT CARD NEED TO BE ACTIVATED?

If your Gift Card was purchased at a shopping centre it does not need to be activated. If it was purchased online and delivered by post or courier it will require activation. Please follow the instructions provided in the shipping confirmation email received following purchase of the card. Corporate Gift Cards

Hundreds of companies purchase intu Metrocentre Gift Cards as sales incentives, long service awards, or as recognition for outstanding work. Our Gift Cards can be loaded up to the value of £1,000 and the balance can be spent a little at a time, or all at once, similar to a debit card.

To order by cash or credit/debit card, please visit our Customer Services Desks and you can collect your Cards straight away. Or alternatively, bring a completed order form and cheque to the management suite on the first floor, Town Square, next to House of Fraser during office hours (9am until 5.30pm) and ask for a member of the Administration Team, or post your form to Gift Card Orders, Centre Management Offices, intu Metrocentre, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, NE11 9YG.

When purchasing Gift Cards with cash or credit/debit card you will be asked to provide proof of your identity as described above; if you choose to pay for your Gift Cards using BACS transfer you will be asked for the following identification, under £500 one form of ID and a note of your name and full address and over £500 either one form of 'first class' identification or two forms of 'secondary' identification and a note of your full name and address.

intu Metrocentre’s Gift Card is accepted in hundreds of stores, restaurants and leisure facilities throughout the Centre. Please note stores can withdraw from our gift card scheme at any time, please check in advance before purchase. intu Metrocentre Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase foreign exchange nor can they be used to purchase mobile phone contracts.
