Back in 2001, three Kiwi guys set up the first Gourmet Burger Kitchen in Battersea, South London. Their philosophy was simple – to create a fresh, quality burger reminiscent of the ones found in New Zealand. Working with Chef Peter Gordon, they were the first to introduce the 'gourmet burger' to the London market, creating a menu that combined 100% beef with the freshest ingredients and sauces, and in doing so changing the UK burger scene forever.
Now with over 60 restaurants in the UK, we serve up gourmet burgers from London to Cardiff, Edinburgh to Brighton. You’ll find us on your local high street, in Europe’s largest shopping centre and even on the Queen's doorstep. We still pride ourselves on serving up a variety of handcrafted burgers, combining 100% beef sourced from independent West Country farms with sauces made from scratch, every day, in each GBK kitchen.
