CHRISTMAS IS COMING AND THIS YEAR WE JUST KNOW THAT WE’RE GOING TO LOVE CHRISTMAS EVEN MORE OUR NEW DECORATIONS ARRIVED LAST YEAR, AND THE GIANT TREE OF LIGHT IN TOWN SQUARE WAS ONE OF THE MOST PHOTOGRAPHED ITEMS ON OUR MALLS…EVER! Watching the decoration install is a magical process. Over a series of nights the malls are transformed into a wonderland of sparkling lights and you really start to feel like Christmas! DID YOU KNOW…? • Our Christmas decorations take 9 nights to complete. • The Tree of Light alone took over 400 man-hours to manufacture and another 144 hours to assemble in the Centre • We’ve got 56 decorative arches which hang from the ceiling of the malls; each arch contains 4,320 LED lights, over 241,000 in total across the centre. • In total, the Christmas decorations take 18 wagon loads and 2,250 man-hours to install. Our much loved family of giant reindeer have returned too, so look out for Glitzen, Belle and Crimbo on the malls.
