EYES: Smoky eyes are a sure fire way of adding a little evening drama – but you need to build up the colour to avoid looking like a panda. That’s where sets like this come in. Sweep the palest shade over the entire lid to the brow bone. Then do the same with each shade, taking it a little lower each time so the darkest shade is simply brushing the base of your lashes. Clarins Autumn Eye Quartet, £32. House of Fraser, Debenhams, Boots. LIPS: Here, Jennifer’s gone for a damask rose shade which suits her skin tone and is probably only slightly darker than her natural lip colour. The closer your lipstick shade is to your natural colour, the better, for an unmade up look. The shade we’ve chosen has a soft pink shimmer, which is ideal for evening as it will catch the light without being too overly glossy. No7 Match Made Stay Perfect Lipstick, £9.95. Boots. FACE: Pale skin is definitely where it’s at this season and Jennifer has made the most of her ivory complexion by keeping her base light and fresh. Pale faces can, however, look drained and sallow, so it’s crucial to add a wash of colour. We’ve chosen a cream blush as these give a light reflecting glow and, to get Jennifer’s look, apply it to the apple of the cheeks. Limited Collection Cream Blush - Dusky Rose, £5. M&S. SKIN: If you’re using a heavy build up of colour on your eyelids then a primer is a make-up bag essential. It will give you a smooth base to ensure an even build-up of pigment and it will help fix it in place so it doesn’t flake or separate into the folds of the eyelid. All-in-One InstaBlur Eye Primer, £10. The Body Shop. HAIR: Whether you’ve opted for subtle blonde highlights, like Jennifer’s, or a full head tint, you’ll no doubt know that you need to up your game when it comes to hair care. Coloured hair can all too easily look dull and lacklustre and that’s no good if you want to dazzle your way through the party season. This Kerastase product adds mirror-like radiance to damaged, coloured, highlighted or sensitised hair, so you’re always camera ready. Kérastase Reflection Fluide Chroma Riche (125 ml), £14. Regis.
